25 years of service

Our Organization

Since 1989, CSN has been making America a safer place for children to live. Our mission is to reduce the likelihood of children becoming victims of abuse, abduction, exploitation, youth violence and preventable injury. Our goal is to help parents raise safer, healthier children by developing and implementing child safety programs on a national basis; acting as a true “network” to bring hundreds of resources to bear. We have worked with the world’s largest service organizations as well as local, state and federal agencies. Over 250 U.S. Representatives including the current and past three presidential administrations have endorsed CSN’s efforts over the years. We are also supported by hundreds of celebrities.

Our President and CEO

Azim KhamisaAzim Khamisa: An award winning author, peace activist and inspirational speaker became a social activist after his son Tariq was senselessly murdered by a 14-year-old gang member in 1995. Azim was working for CSN at the time as their CFO. CSN’s team was responsible for helping locate and bring the murderer of Azims son to justice. Out of unspeakable grief and despair, Azim was inspired to transform his loss through the miraculous power of forgiveness.Believing that there were victims at both ends of the gun, Azim founded the Tariq Khamisa Foundation (www.tkf.org) to break the cycle of youth violence by saving lives, teaching peace and planting seeds of hope for their future. Over the past 18 years, Azim’s programs have been established as the most successful youth violence prevention and intervention programs in the country (and a model for the world) with recidivism rates nearly 300% more effective than the U.S. juvenile justice system at 10% of the average national cost of youth incarceration. Azim returned to CSN as president in November of 2012 and began implementing CSN’s long-term goal to establish a National Center for Child Safety & Parenting. Azim will lead CSN in their second quarter century by developing collaborations with well-established organizations and world renowned experts on family safety, security and parenting.  Read More >
